Students who received an incomplete (IN) grade will automatically be granted extended course access until December 27, 2024.

Dear Faculty,
Academic Innovation has implemented a new process to automatically grant extended course access to all students who received an incomplete (IN) grade. Students in this category will retain access to their existing Canvas courses until December 27, 2024. For more information on incompletes, please visit the Academic Catalog.
To achieve this process, we have proactively created an “Extended Access” section in courses where an incomplete was received. While this was done to grant extended access, it can also be used to:
- Set new Due Dates without affecting historical data.
- Filter the gradebook to view only students with an incomplete.
- Easily send announcements/messages to just these students.
To view details of this section, navigate to Settings, click Sections, and select the section titled “Extended Access.”
